| MINORS OFFERED BY THE DEPARTMENT

| Students seeking a minor in the Department of Religious Studies
and Philosophy may choose one of five concentrations of
study. |
|
|
| RELIGION |
| A minor concentrating in Religion requires any 15 hours of
Religion other than Religion 101 and 102. |
|
|
| EDUCATION STUDIES |
| A minor concentrating in Education Studies requires 15 hours of
Religious Education courses. |
|
| YOUTH EDUCATION |
| A minor concentrating in Youth Education Studies requires the
following 15 hours: |
| 9 hours in Religious Education 271, 373, and
377 |
| 3 hours in Religious Education 275, 373,
401 |
| 3 hours in Religious Education 489 or
490 |
|
| MISSION STUDIES |
| Religion 245 and 354 are recommended in the core curriculum for a
minor concentrating in Mission Studies. The following 15 hours are
required: |
| 9 hours from Religion 243, 325, and
326 |
| 6 hours from Religion 346 and 378 |
|
| BIBLICAL LANGUAGES AND
LITERATURE |
| A minor concentrating in Biblical Languages and Literature
requires the following: |
| 6 hours of Greek |
| 6 hours of Hebrew |
| 3 hours of advanced Old Testament or New
Testament |

| PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS |
| Religion 101 and Religion 102 are prerequisite to all other
religion courses. Any exception must be approved by the chair of the Department
of Religion Studies and Philosophy. |
